Mission Boulevard Bridge Over the Santa Ana River - 8629 - City of Riverside

Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Riverside, California. Design plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel. This project provides for the reconstruction of the Mission Bridge spanning over 1,100 feet across the Santa Ana River between the cities of Riverside and Jurupa Valley. The new bridge will be constructed along the same alignment as the existing bridge but will be wider than the existing bridge allowing for bike lanes and a sidewalk for pedestrian use. The County of Riverside is taking the lead on this project and the City of Riverside will only be responsible to provide its fair share contribution to Riverside County in order to satisfy the local match requirements. Project is included in the City of Riverside's FY 2020-2026 CIP As of July 7, 2022, final design is anticipated to be completed in July 2022. Per the owner, the project is anticipated to go out to bid in the spring of 2023 and is anticipated to be completed in February of 2025. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
