Construction Management / General Contractor - BPRB Level 1 Lab Remodel

Remodel of approximately 14,000 s.f. of lab and offices on the first floor of the Biopolymers Research Building (BPRB) on the Health Sciences Campus. 1. Remodel will be largely cosmetic in nature with some reconfiguration of walls to return spaces to a functional lab module. 2. Repair and replace severely damaged finishes, lab benches, countertops and plumbing fixtures in identified labs, and update worn finishes in offices. 3. Labs will receive new plumbing fixtures and casework though it is expected the location of plumbing will remain as currently in place. 4. If desired by the user group, convert some office suites to labs bringing the building closer to an appropriate office to lab bench ratio and provide additional labs. 5. It is not anticipated the project will provide new ceiling or lighting except where reconfiguration of walls dictates need. 6. The project will also provide for some infrastructure needs identified in a feasibility study for floors 1, 2 and 5 completed in 2018. 7. The space will be vacated and ready for remodel on the first floor however the remainder of the building will be occupied throughout construction.
