North Austin Reservoir and Pump Station Improvements - 2127.012 - City of Austin

The existing 10 million-gallon (MG) North Austin Reservoir, originally constructed in 1912 was in poor condition and at the end of its service life. This project replaces the reservoir with a new 8 MG ground storage tank and a 50 MG per day firm capacity pump station. The reduced reservoir storage capacity from 10 MG to 8 MG is expected to improve water quality by reducing water age. AW plans to spend $7.4 million in FY 2022-23, with $54.3 million in planned project costs.
