Description

As of August 10, 2022, the project has been awarded. A timeline for construction has not been confirmed. The Work to be performed for the 2022 31 Bethlehem Water Main Installation and Replacement Project consists of the following: Provide material and labors to install or replace water mains within the OWNER's distribution system as more particularly specified in the Contract Documents. The Bid for the 2022 31 Bethlehem Water Main Installation and Replacement Project (PROJECT) shall be accompanied by Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid in the form of a certified check, bank money order, or bid bond. All Bids shall be effective for sixty (60) calendar days from the date of the Bid opening, unless an award of the contract is delayed by the required approval of another government agency, the sale of bonds or the award of a grant, in which case all bids shall remain effective for one hundred twenty (120) calendar days from the date of the Bid opening. On or before the last day during which bids shall be effective, if a contract will be awarded it shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. After issuance of the Notice of Award, such contract must be completed within 210 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. The successful bidders will be required to provide Construction Performance and Payment Bonds equal to 100% of the contract amount as specified in the contract documents, which bonds shall also cover a 1-year correction period which will commence upon completion of the Work. This project is subject to certain special requirements. For example, as more specifically detailed in the Contract Documents, the successful bidder shall be required to (a) assure protection against discrimination for employees, applicants for employment, and subcontractors on the grounds of actual or perceived race, color, sex, religion, ancestry, genetic information, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, familial status, marital status, age, mental or physical disability, use of guide or support animals and/or mechanical aids; (b) pay certain minimum salaries and wages; and ( c) none. OWNER reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids or portions thereof.
