Description

Bid has been retracted Pursuant to ORC 9.28, bids will be available for public inspection after Cleveland Metroparks has made an award. Hawthorn Parkway Bridge Replacement at South Chagrin Reservation. The contract shall be let in accordance with the Bid Documents. All bids in excess of $10,000 MUST BE accompanied by a "Bid Bond" executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Ohio as required by Ohio Revised Code Section 153.571 or a certified check, cashier's check or money order, drawn on a solvent bank or savings and loan association in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, and made payable to Cleveland Metroparks, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into, its performance properly secured and shall be in a form the same or similar to the form included in the bid documents. Bids submitted in excess of $10,000 without proper bonding requirements will be found non-responsive and disqualified from consideration. In the event that the bidder cannot satisfy the bid after Cleveland Metroparks awards the bid, the award will be given to the next qualified successive bidder as identified by Cleveland Metroparks and the difference in cost and all related costs to the difference will be assumed by the original bidder and/or its surety. The deposit or bond of the successful bidder will be retained until the contract is properly executed and delivered. Bid guaranties of all unsuccessful bidders will be held until a proper contract is entered into or until all bids are rejected, as the case may be, and will be returned immediately thereafter. The successful bidder shall be required to file, at the time a contract is entered into, a Performance and Labor and Materialman Bond written on an acceptable surety company authorized to do business in the State of Ohio and in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. In the performance of all contracts, contractors will comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to Equal Employment Opportunities. Cleveland Metroparks is a governmental agency exempt from all local, state and federal taxes. No bid may be withdrawn for at least sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. Cleveland Metroparks reserves the right to reject any or all bids and parts of any and all bids and may waive technicalities, which are not substantive components of the bid as determined solely by Cleveland Metroparks. Work generally includes: the demolition of the existing structure and approach pavements; placement of a new foundations, sub structure and superstructure. railings, approach pavements, utility work, grade stabilization, grading, restoration and permanent and temporary traffic control. The contractor shall coordinate all railroad right of way work with the railroad and their appointed representatives. The Contractor will be responsible for the labor, equipment, materials, and incidentals required to complete the aforementioned work. Questions received shall be answered by Cleveland Metroparks by Wednesday, October 20, 2022 by 5:00 p.m. (EDT), via www.publicpurchase.com.
