Lively Point Youth Center Renovation Project - Rebid

The work to be performed under this contract consists of furnishing all materials, appurtenances, tools, equipment, labor, and incidentals necessary to install complete in place the major work noted below, and other bid items identified in this contract. Renovated kitchen, cantina, activity room, storage and pantry spaces and offices. The City shall have the authority to specify the sequence of construction for all work performed on this project and this shall be considered a non-pay item. Unless approved in writing by the Engineer, the Contractor shall provide and maintain access to the center, during construction, at all times, and this shall be considered a non-pay item. Question Cutoff Date: 11/21/2022 03:10 PM (CT) This project consists of demolition in the reception, multi-purpose and kitchen areas of an existing and operating youth recreation center in the City of Irving. The project was originally designed as a single project, but is being divided into two a base bid and alternate bid. The base bid will consist of work focused in the multi-purpose room, kitchen area, and open office area. The work in the Admin station and building entry will be priced as an alternate. Admin Station (Alternate): expanded to provide greater work area, increased visibility, and storage for equipment and program materials. Includes new millwork, lighting, and flooring. Office (Base Bid): new staff office, relocated to provide greater visibility to space and access to members. Warming Kitchen (Base Bid): expanded to provide improved amenities, seating for cooking demonstrations, serving during events and emergencies and storage of equipment and pantry items. Cooking demonstrations may be recorded, so owner provided video equipment will be placed in the area. Multi-purpose Area (Base Bid): new flooring, new ceiling, new lighting for an updated feel and connection to the expanded warming kitchen area.
