Description

Construction of Saint Augustine Drive Ditch Improvements Project Project includes but is not limited to the installation of approximately 1,400 tons of rip-rap and clearing and shaping of approximately 1,000' of ditch and all other associated work Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi State Law and show Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors. Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the INTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. Attorneys-in-fact who sign Bid Bonds, Payment Bonds or Performance Bonds must file with each bond a certified and effective dated copy of their Power of Attorney. No prospective CONTRACTOR may withdraw his proposal within SIXTY (60) DAYS after the actual date of the opening thereof Each bidder shall write the Certificate of Responsibility number and Mississippi Contractors License number on the outside of the sealed envelope containing his proposal. Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate, sealed and deposited with the City Clerk prior to the hour and date designated above For any questions relating to the electronic process, please call electronically at (225)810-4814. The MADISON COUNTY SCHOOLS reserves the right to waive any information or irregularities, to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City, or to reject any or all bids. The Contract Time is Sixty (60) consecutive calendar days with liquidated damages being Five Hundred Dollars ($500) per calendar day thereafter All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed in writing or via email to Engineer (mmiller@benchmarkms.net). Interpretations or clarifications will be issued by Addenda mailed or emailed to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Only answers to questions by formal written addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
