US 101- SE 32nd - Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) Project

Estimated Budget: $75,000 - $100,000 CITY OF NEWPORT US 101: SE 32ND RECTANGULAR RAPID FLASHING BEACON (RRFB) PROJECT The City of Newport, OR (Owner) is requesting bids for the construction of the following project: US 101: SE 32ND RECTANGULAR RAPID FLASHING BEACON (RRFB) PROJECT Bids may be submitted in person, by mail, or electronically by emailing scanned documents to the following address: Chris Beatty, PE, Senior Project Manager City of Newport 169 SW Coast Highway Newport, OR 97365 c.beatty@newportoregon.gov The envelope or body of the email shall plainly identify (1) the Project name, (2) the bidder name, and (3) the Bidder's contractor's license number. To ensure your bid is accepted in its entirety, please combine all documents into a single PDF file attached to your email. Bidders shall be responsible for calling the City office at 541-574-3376 before the proposal deadline to confirm the bid was received. Scanned documents attached to the email shall include the Bid Form (P-400) and all forms identified in Article 6.01 of the Bid Form. A scanned copy of the fully executed bid bond is acceptable for bid submission. Subcontractor declarations must be delivered to Owner as above no later than 4:00 p.m. on the day of the bid opening. This Project will be bid on a Lump Sum basis. A brief description of the scope of work is provided below: For the Lump Sum bid Item #1, the Contractor shall construct new Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs) consisting of, but not limited to, furnishing labor, materials and equipment for the installation of the following: A. 2 single-sided rectangular rapid flashing beacons (RRFB) including all materials and foundation construction. B. 1 double-sided rectangular rapid flashing beacon (RRFB) including all materials. Foundation and anchor bolts have been constructed as part of a recently completed ODOT construction project. C. Sawcutting and removal of approximately 35 lineal feet of concrete curb and 125 square feet of asphalt pavement. D. Construction of approximately 40 lineal feet of concrete curb and 125 square feet of Level 2, Dense ACP mixture. E. One (1) extra RRFB pole and (1) push button per the details provided in the Construction Plans. City will coordinate obtaining and transporting pole and pushbutton at the pre-construction conference. F. Miscellaneous Items also to be included in the Lump Sum Bid Temporary Work Zone Traffic Control Flagging Erosion Control - Inlet Protection Construction Survey Work Aggregate Base 1 Minus Bidding documents may be examined and downloaded at the OregonBuys website following registration. This contract is for public work and is subject to ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870 regarding prevailing wage rates. Licensing under ORS 468A.710 is not required. The contractig agency may cancel the procurement or reject any or all bids in accordance with ORS 279B.100.
