MED-CR233-01.59 State Street Resurfacing Project

The work covered by the plans and specifications includes furnishing all labor, equipment and the noted material for street improvements including pavement planing, partial depth pavement repairs, concrete curbing, curb ramps, asphalt resurfacing, asphalt, drive aprons, and pavement markings including all appurtenances. This improvement must attain Substantial Completion by September 15, 2023. All bidders must be qualified by experience and properly equipped to complete the work specified in the time allotted. The engineer's estimate for the proposed improvements: Base Bid: $464,529.30. Each bidder shall be required to file with its bid, the following: 1. A bid guarantee in the form of either: a. A bond in substantially the form set forth in section 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Said bond shall be the full amount of the bid, or b. A certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter1305 of the Ohio Revised Code. The amount of the certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit shall equal 10% of the full amount of the bid and the Successful Bidder will be required to submit a bond in the form provided in section 153.57 of the Ohio Revised Code in conjunction with the execution of the contract. Said bond shall be issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. 2. A Non-Collusion Affidavit 3. A Statement of Bidder Resources and Experience Bidders must comply with the Davis-Bacon prevailing wage rates on public improvements in Medina County, Ohio as determined by the United States Department of Labor. Domestic steel use requirements as specified in section 153.011 of the Ohio Revised Code can be obtained from the offices of the Department of Administrative Services. Only ODOT pre-qualified contractors are eligible to submit bids for this project. Pre-qualification status must be in force at the time of bid, at the time of award, and through the life of the construction contract. No bidder may withdraw a bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof except as provided in section 9.31 of the Ohio Revised Code. The City of Wadsworth reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive irregularities therein.
