Description

Indian Economic Enterprise (IEE) Set-Aside. Comprehensive water system assessments are critical in helping IA maintain water systems and correct non-compliance issues. These assessments will identify capital expenditure needs, prevent system failures, and identify health and safety risks. One critical health and safety risk for students and occupants is potential exposure to lead sources in drinking water, such as service lines, drinking fountains, faucets, and other fixtures. For this reason, lead and copper sampling are included in these assessments to protect IA employees, stakeholders, school staff, and children from the long-term health effects of lead exposure. In addition, these assessments include an initial analysis for the widely used chemicals Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) to ensure compliance with new regulatory guidance.
