Description

The Work consists of improvements at the WWTP including converting the EFPs to CEPT, a new chemical building, new final clarifier mechanisms, new gravity thickener mechanisms and other work indicated in the contract documents. Bid security, in the form of a certified check (10% of the maximum total bid price) or Bid Bond (for the full amount of the total bid price), must accompany each Bid. The project will be funded through Ohio Water Pollution Control Loan Fund (WPCLF). The successful Bidder shall comply with all related requirements as detailed in the Bidding Documents. This procurement is subject to the EPA policy of encouraging the participation of small business in rural areas (SBRAs) and participation of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs). The City of Rocky River, Ohio reserves the right to reject any and all bids to waive any informalities or irregularities, and further, reserves the right to accept any bids or parts of bids which it deems to best serve the interest of the City of Rocky River, Ohio. Bids shall be on a LUMP SUM AND UNIT PRICE BASIS, with additive alternative bid items as indicated on the Bid Form. The Contract Times for the Work are set forth in the Agreement. At Bidder's request, printed copies of the geotechnical reports are available. Payments shall be made to the Issuing Office. Upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder's delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. The Bidding Documents will include one full-size set of Drawings with a copy of the Project Manual. Partial sets of the Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including any addenda, obtained from a source other than the Issuing Office. Each Bidder must be a Bidding Document Holder Bids submitted by Bidders not on the list of Bidding Documents (Plan) Holders with the Issuing Office will not be opened All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents shall be submitted to Engineer in writing via email to Corinne Sackett at csackett@hazenandsawyer.com.
