Description

Phase II engineering services are required for the improvement of Michigan City Road bridge structure over I-94 (Bishop Ford Expressway). The Consultant's work is expected to consist of preparing contract plans, specifications, and estimates for the bridge replacement of the existing Michigan City Road bridge over the Bishop Ford Expressway (I-94). The Consultant's work may include supplemental topographic survey, drainage design, bridge and retaining wall design, approach roadway design, underpass lighting and roadway lighting modification, ADA curb ramps, sidewalk and multi-use path design, geotechnical work as well as other structural tasks as determined by the department. The proposed improvement will consist of the replacement of the existing bridge structure, parapets and approach slabs under a full detour and all other incidental work required to complete Phase II contract plans. The following existing structure is included in this project: S.N. 016-1068 (Existing), S.N. 016-8320 (Proposed): Michigan City Road over I-94.
