Description | Work consists of all labor and materials necessary for removal of 11 underground oil tanks and furnish and instal 12 aboveground fuel oil tanks with double-wall steel tanks and all necessary piping, equipment, associated appurtenances, and sitework. The tanks are located at various sites in Rockland, Orange, and Ulster Counties, NY. General scope of work indudes, but is not limited to, all materials, labor, and equipment required and indicated for a complete and code compliant heating fuel oil system as follows: 1.NYS DEC Notification form for tank replacement 2.New Highland UL-142 Horizontal Double-waled Tanks, or equal sized 300 to 8000 gal. on a concrete pad with bollards and stairs for access to fil port and tank top, 3.Tanks shall be equipped with: spil bucket and padlock, emergency vents, vent pipe and whistle alarm, overfill protection valve, product level gauge, tank top high level alarm (sensor for 1 tank) manual leak detection gauge (leak sensor for 1 tank), stick gage and chart, tank signs and fil port tag 4.AII electrical conduit, conductors, grounding, piping and connedions, penetrations, fittings and appurtenances, fusible-link and anti-siphon valves, fuel oil filters, and al other valves as required per NFPA 30 and 31. 5.RekJ leak testing of tank, piping, and transferring of any usable fuel oiL Start-up services, instrudion of facility personnel and turn over of O&M literature and keys, 6.Temporary fuel oil tank and connections as necessary to maintain heat and hot water, 7.Exploratory test pits and excavations, site clearing, grading, excavation, demolition activities, site restoration, pavement and patio stone replacement. 8.Retaining wall as indicated. 9.The lump sum bid price shall include an estimated total quantity of 180 tons remediation of contaminated sol, 6000 gaL contaminated ground/wastewater and 1320 gaL for tank bottom (sludge) al as/if needed. Details and determination of payment for quantities used is in the specifications. 10. Closure report to the Parks and DEC. Furnish disposal manifest for tank, fuel and tank bottom (sludge). 11.
