KC-46A 2-Bay Depot Maintenance Hangar

In accordance with Section 888(a) of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2017 (FY17) (Public Law 114-328) as implemented by Defense Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) 206.302-1(c)(2), the justification and approval (J&A) addressed in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.303 is required to use brand name or equal descriptions on items in the firm-fixed price construction contract for the KC-46A 2-Bay Depot Maintenance Hangar at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma City, OK. This justification and approval is being prepared for brand name or equal descriptions on items in the firm-fixed price construction contract for KC-46A 2-Bay Depot Maintenance Hangar, at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma. The plans and specifications indicate the standard of quality, characteristics, and performance requirements and a manufacture and model to establish the basis of design for approximately 34 items. For these brand name items, other manufacturers may not be utilized during construction. The design documents associated with this project include approximately 34 items, for Exterior Bricks and Furniture, Fixture, and Equipment. See Attachment for a complete list of items. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. The submission must be received no later than 2:00PM Central Time on 30 May 2023 to lindsey.m.byfield@usace.army.mil. This is not a request for a proposal.
