Description

Aerator Repairs installation via “drain and repair” method. The aerator in the sequencing batch reactor (SBR) at the Silverbell Army Heliport Wastewater Treatment Plant has diffuser limbs which have separated. The lattice that provides aeration was built from PVC and has begun to disintegrate. Limbs containing the fine bubble diffusers are breaking off. This is causing irregularities in the aeration pattern; greatly reducing efficiency and the ability for the SBR to do its work.
