Description | The Whitewater Springs Water Supply Corporation (WSWSC), a non-profit property owner corporation, is seeking bids from licensed contractors for the construction of a new pump station and GST to augment its existing system. Bids will be received up to October 31, 2022, after which the bidding period will close. Prospective bidders should bid on all parts of the project, which will consist of the following: WSWSC intends to install a new pump station including site grading and gravel pad, 30000 gal GST, 2500 gal pressure tank, three booster pump skid, 27x27 pump house, VFD and PLC controls, interconnecting wiring and piping. Plans and specifications have been approved by the TCEQ and TWDB. Each bidder shall furnish a bid guarantee equivalent to five percent of the bid price (Water Code 17.183). If a bid bond is provided, the Bidder shall utilize a surety company which is authorized to do business in Texas in accordance with Surety Bonds and Related Instruments, Chapter 3503 of the Insurance Code. This contract is subject to the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program, which includes EPA-approved fair share goals toward procurement of Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) businesses. EPA rules require that applicants and prime contractors make a good faith effort to award a fair share of contracts, subcontracts, and procurements to M/WBEs through demonstration of the six affirmative steps. Any contract or contracts awarded under this Advertisement for Bid (AFB) are expected to be funded in part by financial assistance from the TWDB. Neither the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) or the State of Texas, nor any of its departments, agencies, or employees, are or will be a party to this AFB or any resulting contract. Any contract(s) awarded under this Invitation for Bids is/are subject to the American Iron and Steel (AIS) requirements of federal law, including federal appropriation acts.
