Description | Southwest Region Office - Replace HVAC System Depending on the project location, individuals may be required to wear masks to attend meetings and for a firm to be eligible to submit bids / quotations / proposals. Bring and be prepared to wear a mask if required upon arrival. Requirements may change at any time and any updated guidance must be followed. The Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) on behalf of Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), is requesting professional architectural and engineering services to replace the HVAC system, including the generator, at the MDOT Southwest Region Office Building in Kalamazoo. The existing system is original to the 23,200 SF 2-story building constructed in 1987, is unreliable, causing excessive maintenance and repairs MDOT has had 3 separate reports prepared in the past that addressed the building including: o 2006 MDOT SW Offices Building HVAC Assessment prepared by Progressive AE o 2019 Facility Condition Assessment of SW Region Office prepared by EMG o 2020 SW Region Level 2 Energy Assessment prepared by DNV GL Energy This request is to provide Phase 100 Study, Phase 300 Schematic Design, Phase 500 Final Design, and Phases 600 & 700 Construction Administration. We anticipate 50% and 90% design submittals at both design phases, including a cost estimate at the 90% submittal of each phase. LARA plan review fees are to be included as a reimbursable expense. MDOT is interested in the professional and/or contractor exploring Consumers Energy incentives to help reduce energy consumption. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time |
