New County Library at Marie and 7th Avenues - Dakota County

As of January 26, 2022, a design team has been identified. Design is anticipated to be completed in June 2022. Project is anticipated to go out for construction bids in the late summer of 2022 and a contractor is anticipated to selected in September of 2022. Construction is anticipated to begin in the fall of 2022 and be completed in the first quarter of 2024. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. ........... Dakota County is seeking proposals for Architectural and Engineering services required for the Design and Construction Administration for the New County Library in South St. Paul, MN. This project will create a 16,146 GSF new public library for Dakota County at the northwest corner of Marie & 7th Avenues in South St. Paul. The efforts of the selected design team must align with the Programming Study and go beyond the study's earlier established goals/vision. The design team should base its fee on a construction budget for this project of approximately $6,000,000. This is the amount expected from the General Contractor on bid day and does NOT include other project soft costs. The successful design team will demonstrate that it has delivered libraries of comparable size for a similar construction budget.
