Galax-Carroll-Grayson Animal Shelter Additions And Renovation

The Project generally consists of two additions to the Galax-Carroll-Grayson Animal Shelter building. The primary addition (base bid) includes a new parking area, public entrance, waiting area, staff offices, and rooms to accommodate interaction between the public and pets. The second addition (additive bid item) includes staff workspace, food storage, laundry, and a carport. Some limited renovation of the existing building is involved with both additions. The new construction will consist of split-face masonry exterior bearing walls, concrete slab-on-grade floors, shop-fab wood roof trusses, metal panel roofing, and light-gauge metal frame interior partitions.
