West Street Sewer Expansion Phase I. This contract is part of a two-phase effort to extent sewer on West St. (Route 5) in Hatfield, MA. Phase 1 is primarily pipework to be conducted in the state roadway subject to the requirements of a DOT access permit. Water infrastructure improvements are included in this project to eliminate a troublesome section of water main. Sewer work will consist of approximately 3,600 feet of 8" PVC, 14 manholes, 400 feet of 2" tubing, and 30 residential connection laterals. Water utility work will consist of approximately 1500 feet of 6" ductile iron water main, one hydrant, the disconnection of an existing 16" AC water main and existing 8" DI water main, in two places, and 3 water service re-connections to the proposed 6” water main.
