Description | Reference Number 0000323241 Source ID PU.AG.USA.2448108.C14537551 Piggyback Contract No Bid Intent Deadline 07/07/2023 08:00 PM EDT Question Acceptance Deadline 06/30/2023 08:00 PM EDT Questions are submitted online Yes The Hanford Fire Department will select one (1) contractor to provide labor, and possibly materials to repair damaged fire hydrants as outlined in this request. Fire hydrants have been removed from service and may be repaired onsite or at the contractor's facility. Currently, the department has approximately 20 hydrants in need of immediate repair. The fire department requires the service of experienced, licensed contractor(s) to provide maintenance, repair, and replacement part service for fire hydrants, valves (including associate fittings, restraints, and pipe) as needed. The department will furnish the successful contractor(s) with the locations of fire hydrants that have been removed and stored at City facilities for contractor(s) to retrieve for repairs. On-site repair is acceptable if it can be performed quickly without interrupting routine department business. The contractor(s) will be responsible for furnishing all labor, tools, and equipment. The City will attempt to provide all parts and materials; however, the contractor(s) may be asked to assist with parts and materials if the City is unable to provide them. The City currently has approximately 20 fire hydrants in need of repair. After the current batch of fire hydrants are repaired, the contractor(s) will be contacted on an "as needed" basis. 1. Upper Barrel Repair: An upper bonnet repair shall consist of repairing and/or replacing all necessary components within the upper portions of the hydrant, from the operating nut downwards to the top of the break away (upper barrel) flange, to return hydrant to working order. Hydrant rotation shall also be considered as an upper barrel repair. 2. Lower Barrel Repair: A lower barrel repair shall consist of repairing and/or replacing all necessary components of the hydrant from the top of the break away (upper barrel) flange to the bottom of the hydrant foot valve to return hydrant to working order. 3. The department will attempt to provide all materials. 4. With pre-approval, the City of Hanford will reimburse for materials not provided. Receipts for materials must be provided. |
