Underground Utilities Repair and Maintenance

No bids shall be received after the time designated in the advertisement. (NJAC 18A:18A-21b) Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check made payable to the Old Bridge Township Board of Education, for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the total bid, not to exceed $20,000. All bidders are required to comply with the requirements of NJSA 10:5-31 et. seq., and N.J.A.C 17:27. Bidder should be aware of the following statutes that represent "Truth in Contracting laws: N.J.S.A. 2C:21-34, et seq. governs false claims and representations by bidders. It is a serious crime for the bidder knowingly submit a false claim and/or knowingly make material misrepresentations. N.J.S.A. 2C:27-10 provides that a person commits a crime if said person offers a benefit to a public servant for an official act of performed or to be performed by a public servant, which is a violation of official duty. N.J.S.A. 2C:27-11 provides that a bidder commits a crime if said person, directly or indirectly, confers or agrees to confer any benefit not allowed by law to a public servant. Bidders should consult the statutes or legal counsel for further information. Bids must be marked as specified and submitted on a bid form that will be furnished to you.
