| Description | The Town of Bethel is requesting proposals for insulating the basement of the Town Office. Background: The Town Office was the old creamery building that was originally built in 1880 and was given to the Town of Bethel. The basement is 40’ x 61’ (2440 sq. ft.) Objective: To apply a minimum of R10 spray foam insulation at wood mudsills and rim joists and to apply a minimum of R10 insulation on the exterior walls. Walls have been painted, so a fire rated closed cell spray foam may not be an option; that should be determined by the bidder. If board insulation is used, all joints must be taped with the appropriate insulation tape. |
