Professional Pool Design Services

Project – Assessment and Design for the Replacement of Public Pool Facilities: a. Anticipated Project Scope: Assess the existing conditions of the public pool facilities located at Lewis E. Fulton Memorial Park located on Cooke Street, Waterbury, CT 06704 and Washington Park located at 283 Sylvan Avenue, Waterbury CT 06706, for upgrades including but not limited to the following: a) Demolition of existing 50’ x 100’ pool. b) Regrading as required to address ground water infiltration and drainage conditions impacting the project. c) Design of new replacement pool meeting industry standard sizing, continuous depth of 4’, and full-length entry stairs at one of the short ends of the pool. Pool is not required to meet any professional or Olympic requirements. d) New pool design to incorporate a sand filtration system and tablet chlorination. e) New pool design to include standard pool, safety, and maintenance components, including but not limited to: 1. Vacuum systems 2. Skimming systems 3. ADA lifts 4. Ladders 5. Life Safety items. g) Design of a new pump room separate from pool house. h) Design of a new pool house to include code compliant restrooms with changing benches, public check-in office, and pedestal showers located outside for patrons. i) Concrete decking surrounding the pool. j) Site fencing. k) Site lighting. l) Security and surveillance considerations. Once a complete scope of work is determined at each Park, manage its implementation via Design Services.
