Description | The work under this project involves the removal of underground storage tanks and more specifically shall include furnishing all material, equipment and labor required to complete the following: I. Removal of six ( 6) steel underground storage tanks of unknown contents; 2. Removal of all UST associated piping; 3. Removal and disposal of the unknown contents (liquid and sludges) of the USTs; 4. Over excavate and remove impacted soil (if present); 5. Manage impacted and non-impacted soil through stockpiling and proper recycling/disposal; 6. Provide health and safety precautions such as temporary fencing, etc, 7. Reclaim the excavation using certified clean fill; 8. Repair or replace existing sidewalk and curbing if disturbed during site work; 9. Collect and present to client all documentation related to the UST removals including but not limited to disposal/recycling receipts, bills of lading, disposal/recycling certificates, and health and safety documentation. 10. While this project is exempt from a requirement to obtain Cape-Atlantic Conservation District approval due to being Jess than 5,000 square feet in land disturbance, the contractor must comply with applicable Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Requirements including but not limited to providing inlet protection, stabilized construction entrances, temporary soil stabilization and road sweeping. 11. Upon completion of the work, the contractor is responsible to restore the disturbed areas of the site to its original conditions and repair any damage caused during construction. |
