Description | The Board of Directors of Waterford Montessori Academy ("Owner" or "School") will receive sealed Bid Proposals for door replacements at its Midland and Elizabeth Lake Campuses Each Bid Proposal must be accompanied by: 1) A 5% bid bond or certified check; 2) A sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Board of Directors or Chris Schoenherr of the School; and 3) A sworn and notarized Iran Disclosure Statement. The Board of Directors will not accept a bid that does not include these sworn and notarized disclosure statements. Successful Contractors whose Proposals are $50,000 or more will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds, in a form satisfactory to the Academy, in the amount of 100% of its Proposal by a Treasury listed Surety licensed to do business in the State of Michigan, and the attorneyin-fact who executed the Performance and Payment Bonds on behalf of the Contractor shall attach a certified, current copy of its power of attorney. The cost of the Bonds shall be included in each Proposal. The Waterford Montessori Academy Board of Directors reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Bid Proposals, either in whole or in part, to waive any informalities or irregularities therein, or to award the contract to other than the contractor(s) submitting the best financial Bid Proposal (low bidder), in its sole and absolute discretion.
