Resurfacing

SCOPE OF WORK to be performed under this improvement shall generally consist of resurfacing approximately 3,250 square yards of existing asphalt pavement adjacent to and around the Trenton City Building. Work generally includes milling 4-1/2" of existing asphalt and base and additional excavation as required to prepare suitable subbase. Also included is placing aggregate base and resurfacing with 3" of asphalt base and 1 1/2 " of asphalt surface course, replacing existing storm sewer and structures and applying parking lot striping. The Engineer's opinion of construction cost is $301,943. 1.3 THE ABOVE IMPROVEMENT shall be in accordance with the Contract Documents. The City of Trenton reserves the right to reject any or all bids in accordance with the Contract Documents. The City of Trenton reserves the right to add to or to subtract from the contract quantities. The City of Trenton also reserves the right to hold all proposals for sixty (60) days. 1.6 EACH BIDDER is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty (10% of the Bid Amount) and Contract Bond (100% of the Bid Amount) in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. 1.7 EACH BID PROPOSAL must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. 1.8 BIDDERS must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Butler County and the City of Trenton as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division, (614) 644-2239.
