Description | The following scope of work is being proposed for the 2019 Fifth Street Reconstruction Project for the City of Auburn. The scope of work is a brief overview of the expected extent of work on each street included in this contract. This is only a proposed scope with associated estimated quantities. Items, extent and entire streets may be added or deleted as work progresses or to meet the available funding for this work. Fifth Street - Mary Carroll Street to South Main Street: 1. Proposed dimensions: 1,680' x 32' 2. Do not disturb sidewalks and curbing. Drainage structure installation work may require disturbance of sidewalks and granite. 3. Remove pavement, sawcutting through intersections and driveways. 4. Remove catch basins and manholes as directed. 5. Install proposed catch basins and manholes. 6. Install new stormdrains and Type B underdrain (excavate ~18" from curbline). 7. Box cut the road for installation of 15"- Type D, 3" - Type A, 2" 12.5mm HMA, and 1.5" 9.5mm HMA. 8. Butt joints shall be constructed at intersections. 9. Rebuild sidewalk from South Main Street to Dunn Street with 12" Type A and 2" 9.5mm HMA. 10. Strip sidewalk pavement from Mary Carroll Street to Barton Avenue and repave with 2" 9.5mm HMA. 11. Install new granite curbing on the westerly side of the section between Dunn Street and South Main Street. 12. Loam and seed disturbed lawn areas. 13. Paint high visibility crosswalks (6'x2' with 2' spacing). Fifth Street - Mary Carroll Street to Gill Street: 1. The Auburn Water & Sewer District will supply all components necessary for the installation of the new infrastructure. The water main shall be bedded in screened sand. Tracer wire will be connected to all infrastructure installed. The District will conduct all necessary pressure and bacteria tests of the new main. All preexisting water main material must be removed. The District will set up temporary water. 2. Replace 730' of 6" Cast Iron water main with 6" Bionax PVCO pipe. 3. Replace 4 short side and 4 long side services. 4. Replace a "T" and two gate valves in the Fifth/Gill intersection. 5. Install a 1" connection to Barton Avenue. Paid under Shortside Service. | ||||||
