where such proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. Proposals may be hand delivered or mailed to the above location and must be received at such time. Scope of work: is to include all necessary labor, material and equipment for replacement of the domestic water booster pump system located in the Main Boiler Plant serving floors 2 through 7 of the Concentrated Care Center. All work on this Contract is to be completed within 180 days after the date of the Notice to Proceed Bidding and Contract Documents may be examined free of charge at: SUNY Upstate, Design and Construction, 650 South Salina Street, 2nd floor, Syracuse, NY 13202. Bids must be submitted in triplicate (3), which must have original signatures on the forms provided by the University, in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid. It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. The selected contractor must comply with M/WBE goals. State University of New York goals are: 20% MBE and 10% WBE participation of the total contract value. State University of New York also has a goal for the Work Force participation: EEO 10% WBE and EEO 10% MBE of total work force on the project. The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 20% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 10% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6%
