Description | Remove and replace in-kind all metal plates and anchor frames at the bulk waste disposal wall at Northwest Transfer Station (NWTS). Plate length is nominally 72" long. The steel plate thickness is approximately 1/2". The length dimension is folded to cover the front face and top of the 19" high bulk wall, then extend 34" beyond the outer edge of the bulk wall. The plates shall be installed to cover approximately 80 feet of wall. The wall is to be field measured by the Contractor before ordering materials. A field visit to observe the existing plates to be replaced is required before preparing a proposal. Each plate shall be anchored to the top and front face of the bulk wall using zinc plated alt-weather bolts and also anchored to new triangular frames replacing the existing frames. The triangular frames are made of 3" angle steel, 27" base by 17" height. Old plates and frames shall be placed in scrap metal container on site. Any existing materials that can be re-used on site will be determined by the City's Project Manager or site Superintendent. |
