| Description | The security system is intended to provide a mission-critical, scalable, integrated security system. The mission of the security system is to support security-in-depth by providing a means to deter, anticipate, deny, detect, report, delay, assess, track, and assist in all security and safety functions required by DoD, DoN, and NAVSUP security policy. The security system provides an electronic means of accomplishing area intrusion detection, deterrence, access control, alarm reporting, automation of program requirements, remote assessments, and timely discrepancy reporting in order to support security and safety requirements that ultimately allow for mission accomplishment. Additionally, it provides an integrated command and control capability, permitting situational awareness reporting and warning information to be rapidly and accurately passed among security, force protection communities, and command leadership. Security capability improvements shall be accomplished throughout the life of the contract via incorporation of new technology to meet the Department of Defense's (DoD's) varying security requirements ensuring that state-of-the-art equipment is available for a variety of security missions. | ||||
