Design-Build Services for the Expansion of the Big Coppitt Wastewater Treatment Plant

The services are anticipated to include assistance with the permitting, design, procurement, construction, start-up and other services associated with the expansion of the Big Coppitt Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). The project is to be delivered by the progressive D-B method in order to arrive at the best value in the most efficient manner and timeline. The existing Big Coppitt WWTP has an annual average daily flow (ADF) capacity of 0.323 million gallons per day (MGD) using three (3) Sequencing Batch Reactors (SBRs). FKAA desires to add two additional SBRs, each having the same capacity as the existing SBRs, thereby increasing the annual ADF capacity to 0.538 MGD. The project will also include new screens for both the existing and new SBRs, an expansion of the existing disinfection system, a new aerated solids holding tank and relocation of the existing centrifuge to a new solids dewatering building with truck loading facility. New treatment facilities will be located adjacent to the existing Big Coppitt WWTP. Adequate land is available at this site
