Description | In general, the project consists of construction of approximately 3,800 linear feet of 21-inch gravity sewer and 2,600 linear feet of 12-inch gravity sewer and abandonment measures for existing gravity sewer. The project seeks to construct a new gravity sewer parallel to existing gravity sewer running from the existing Grandview Heights Meter Station along the railroad tracks crossing under Childre Road, and extending to the corner of Grandview Heights Subdivision. The work consists of approximately 3,800 linear feet of 21-inch gravity sewer and 2600 linear feet of 12-inch sewer. The existing sewer will also require abandonment measures in the process of building the new gravity sewer. Three tie-ins will also be needed to keep existing lines operational Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than those listed herein. For any questions concerning the electronic bidding process, please contact portal. Each Bidder must deposit with his Bid, a Bid Bond or Certified Check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of his Bid, payable to City of Pearl as bid security. Bidders shall also submit a current financial statement if requested by the City. Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi Law and show Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors. Each Bidder shall write his Certificate of Responsibility Number on the outside of the sealed envelope containing his Bid. Cutoff for questions will be Thursday, March 2 at 5:00 p.m. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within Sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The successful Bidder must provide both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond (each in the amount of one hundred percent [100%] of the Contract) upon execution of the Contract. The Contract Time is 360 calendar days with a liquidated damages provision of Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars and 00/100 Dollars ($750.00) per calendar day thereafter. The City of Pearl is utilizing Federal assistance for the construction of the project and is subject to U.S. Treasury's regulations governing ARPA, and all applicable terms and conditions in 2 C.F.R. Part 200; Bidders are hereby responsible for adhering to all applicable Federal Laws. The City hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this notice, disadvantaged, and women's business enterprises will be afforded the full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. The City of Pearl reserves the right to reject any and or all bids, waive technicalities, informalities, or irregularities in the bids received, solicit new bids, or to choose that bid which is deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Pearl. |
