Aquatic Center Deck Resurfacing

The work to be performed under this contract shall consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials to remove existing 15,530 sq. ft. of pool deck coating down to bare concrete. Apply Sundeck Classic Texture non-slip surface onto the deck. Final deck surface must maintain original expansion joints as well as design slope and integrity. Must preserve or replace existing depth markers, surrounding pool; and must preserve patency of drains. This project consists of removing and replacing existing deck joint sealant (approx. 500’ x 1-¼); removing and replacing pool decking (approx. 15,530 square feet). 1. Determine lineal footage of deck sealant joints to be replaced 2. Cut-out existing pool deck sealant joints (approx. 500 x 1-1/4) 3. Caulk pool deck sealant joint using WR Meadows Deck-O-Seal Gun Grade Joint Sealant, Stone Grey. 4. Determine Coverage: Measure the total square footage of the pool deck. 5. Create dust barriers to prevent debris from entering pool and utilize proper PPE to manage airborne particles and dust. 6. Remove existing approximately 15,530 sq. ft. of pool deck coating down to bare concrete. Apply Sundeck Classic Texture non-slip surface onto the deck. a. Final deck surface must maintain original expansion joints as well as design slope and integrity; Must preserve or replace depth markers surrounding pool; and must preserve patency of drains. 7. Contractor is responsible for disposal of all old material and must manage and legally dispose of any hazardous materials.
