Description

Infectious Medical Waste, Solid Waste, Single Stream Recycling and Other Services: NCO 5 for Infectious Medical Waste (IMW) disposal, solid waste, and recycling at the VA Medical Centers and CBOCs (Community Based Outpatient Clinic) within VISN 5, the Capitol Healthcare Region. The successful contractors will provide the comprehensive management of these various waste streams ensuring that the waste flow is efficient and does not interfere with the daily operations of the facilities. The goal is to ensure compliance with the IMW and non-hazardous pharmaceutical waste, while maximizing the diversion of waste from the solid waste stream to either recycling or another beneficial reuse.
