Description | The project calls for the construction of a new school gymnasium and locker room facility including all related site work on Auburn City School District's existing East Samford School campus. The building scope includes one new gymnasium and locker room building with a storm shelter and partial renovation of an existing building to remain. The project includes approximately 19,000 sf of new construction and 2,000 sf of renovated area. The new structure is primarily load-bearing masonry with precast structural concrete roof deck over the locker room and support areas and steel roof joists with steel deck over the gymnasium volume. The approximate value of the required work is $5,000,000. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to Auburn City Schools, in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract. Only general contractors who have been approved to bid pursuant to pre-qualification procedures and criteria established by the Owner will be eligible to bid the Project. Written pre-qualification procedures and criteria are available from the office of Perkins the bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying his or her current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgment, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted. |
