Improvements to Clearman Field

The work to be performed under this contract includes the following: The renovation of the athletic facilities at Clearman Field behind School No. 8 in Belleville, New Jersey. Improvements include replacing the natural grass softball and soccer fields with a multi-use synthetic turf sports complex. Also included will be significant drainage improvements, a new HMA walkway, the installation of a pre-fabricated restroom, construction of grandstand bleacher seating, installation of sports field lighting, retaining wall construction, installation of new water and electric services, and the installation of various sports amenities. Principal items of work in the project include: 2,500 C.Y. Excavation, Unclassified 96,000 S.F. Synthetic Turf 2,500 C.Y. 3/4" Clean Stone 1,300 S.Y. Hot Mix Asphalt Sidewalk, 6" Thick 550 S.Y. Concrete Sidewalk, 4" Thick 1,050 L.F. Chain-Link Fence, PVC-Coated Steel, 4` High 1,000 L.F. Chain-Link Fence, PVC-Coated Steel, 6` High 300 L.F. Protective Netting, 30` High L.S. Pre-Fabricated Restroom L.S. Sports Field Lighting L.S. Softball Bleacher Seating L.S. Soccer / Lacrosse Bleacher Seating The work contemplated under this Contract shall be completed by April 2, 2021.
