Design-Build Professionals - Laguna/Acoma Baseball and Softball Field

Project construction shall consist of the following Scope of Work. Contractor will: Provide all survey work and drawings required to construct the work proposed. Provide all temporary erosion control measures as required by local authorities. Remove upon completion. Provide for temporary access to the baseball/softball, as necessary. Any temporary roads or protection devices required will be removed and brought back to original condition upon conclusion of project. Remove existing topsoil and subsoils, as necessary to required subgrade elevations for construction of new field having between a 0.5% and 1% slope from centerline of the field to the foul line curb. Remove existing subsoils, as necessary to required subgrade elevations for construction. All soil removal to be responsibility of contractor to school district property within 5 miles of construction site. Proof-roll all subgrades. (If unstable or unsuitable subgrade soils or bedrock are uncovered during proof-roll process, removal and replacement of these soils or other recommended subgrade remediation will be performed at an agreed upon increase in cost.) Fine grade subgrade to within ¼” over 10’. Adjust or remove any existing baseball field structures within the field area to handle the new elevations and discharge piping. Install perimeter concrete curb/gutter. Install new dynamic drainage base system for synthetic turf field consisting of: New 10” perforated sub-drainage perimeter collector system with porous stone backfill for field drainage which will connect to existing field drainage system within the field area. (Price assuming there is at least one 10” outlet from the field area at sufficient depth to allow for outlet of the field drainage.) Non-woven geotextile liner placed over entire field subgrade and as liner for the collector drain perimeter trenches. 6” porous aggregate base layer under the entire synthetic field areas, graded to within ¼” over 10’ tolerance and compacted to proper density. Furnish and install new composite board nailers along all perimeter field curbing to secure turf. Furnish and install minimum 62 oz. total weight., 2” pile height with supplemental “thatch zone” turf in all areas. Provide complete with inlaid baseball and softball markings and lines. (For pricing purposes, detailed field graphics, colors and line widths will be specified in the Add Alternate Section.) Field will be of a solid green color. Baseball base paths and warning tracks will be of brown color. Softball infield will be of brown color. Furnish Laguna-Acoma Hawk logo in white, blue and black logo color scheme. Furnish and install new base and home plate anchoring system for baseball and softball. Furnish a new portable baseball pitching mound. Provide all layout and supervision required for work. Provide 8-year warranty on the synthetic turf surfacing to include product and installation. Provide an eight (8) year third-party insured warranty on ALL work performed by the contractor. This warranty shall include base and drainage work. Performance and Payment Bonds.
