Description | Work as follows: 1. Mobilization - 1 (LS) 2. Demolition and Disposal of Existing Bulkhead, Tiebacks, and Anchors - 210 (LF) 3. New Concrete Bulkhead Sheet Panels, Cap, Tiebacks, and Anchors - 210 (LF) 4. Repairing Existing Bulkhead - 8 (LF) 5. Site Grading and Restoration - 1 (LS) 6. Temporary Erosion and Sediment a tion Controls - 1 (LS) A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Rockport or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The project to be constructed will be financed with assistance from the General Land Office (GLO) under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing Davis-Bacon and Related Acts wage rate, as issued by the Department of Labor and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. Adherence to the City of Rockport's Section 3 Policy is required for contracts and subcontracts in excess of $100,000.00. All contractors and subcontractors must be cleared (not suspended or debarred) prior to any formal action authorizing the award of a contract to the contractor. Minority Business Ent e rpris e s, Sma ll Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, Section 3 Businesses, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. The City of Rockport reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by The City of Rockport for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. This project has a value range of $300K-$600K. |
