Remodeling and Repairs at 1940 North 24th Street

1 Rear Entry Canopy: install a pre-manufactured awning over the rear basement/1st floor exterior door. Repair previous damage due to a tree limb falling. 2 Upper East Door Replacement ('A' Unit): Replace the existing door with a prehung, metal-clad exterior door with a high upper-lite. Install a thumb-turn deadbolt and locking handle. Paint all exposed wood trim work; jambs and brick molding, etc. 3 Alarms: The owner is to install combination smoke/CO alarms in the basement, first floor, and second floor. All alarms shall be sealed battery, 10 year lithium ion units. 4 Dryer Vent: The owner is to replace the flexible dryer vent with a solid walled galvanized vent pipe. 5 NM Wiring and Fuse Box: There is a fuse box mounted on the overhead floor joists, near the chimney. Correct the improperly installed NM wiring at this location. 6 Stair Handrail: The owner is to install a handrail to the basement. 7 Plaster and Paint Repairs: Remove loose plaster and paint at the ceilings areas, damaged due to previous plumbing and roof leaks. All patches are to match the existing finish of the adjacent surfaces. Spot prime paint and finish paint the patched areas. Noted Areas; Dining room ceiling, and bedroom closet ceiling.
