Description

As of December 2022, this project is under construction. The Work includes furnishing labor, materials, equipment and services for construction of the Brushy Creek Regional Utility Authority Phase 2 Raw Water Delivery System as specified and detailed in the Contract Documents. The major project elements include two lake taps with multilevel screens, a gravity intake tunnel with a minimum 8-ft internal finished diameter cast-in-place concrete liner, an underground suction chamber with 6 well shafts, a 30-ft diameter, 300-ft deep construction access shaft, a transmission tunnel with a 78-inch welded steel final liner, a 145 MGD pump station, and a maintenance building for chemical feed systems to control invasive mussels. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals. Each Proposals must be accompanied by Proposal Security made payable to Owner in an amount of three percent (3%) of Proposer's total amount Proposal and in the form of a certified or cashier's check or a Bond issued. Any questions or concerns should be submitted electronically at least ten (10) business days prior to the Due Date (on or before Tuesday, February 8, 2022). Base Proposal: Construction of a nominal 145 MGD pump station for the Phase 2 Raw Water Delivery System. The scope includes construction of new facilities, as well as modifications and improvements to existing facilities, including: Raw water intake with two lake taps and multilevel screens in Lake Travis Maintenance building for chemical feed systems in the Village of Volente Gravity intake tunnel with a minimum 8-ft internal finished diameter cast-in-place concrete liner 145 MGD pump station on Lime Creek Road adjacent to the City of Cedar Park Water Treatment Plant (WTP), which includes an underground suction chamber with 6 well shafts, 30-ft diameter, 300-ft deep construction access shaft, and 9 submersible turbine pumps from a single supplier Transmission tunnel with a 78-inch welded steel final liner Connections and delivery improvements to existing BCRUA 78-inch diameter transmission pipeline and BCRUA, Cedar Park, and Sandy Creek (Leander) WTPs Allowance for Instrumentation and SCADA programming (Alterman Electric) Commissioning and Startup of the entire facility, including interface with existing facilities (Section 01 91 00) Demolition of the existing BCRUA and Cedar Park raw water intake barges and appurtenances Construction of an extension to Jackson Street in the Village of Volente Related items necessary for a complete, operational project
