RFP - Pedestrian Archeological Survey

City of Bend Request for Proposals Pedestrian Archeological Survey. The City of Bend is requesting proposals from professional archaeologists to perform a pedestrian archaeological survey of the Stevens Road Tract. For this survey, the Stevens Road Tract is the area of potential effect (APE). The Stevens Road Tract is approximately 261.66 acres in size, and located south of Stevens Road, and east of a Trans Canada natural gas pipeline corridor. The survey is necessary to satisfy a requirement of 2021 House Bill 3318, passed by the Oregon Legislature in 2021. Section 9(a) of the bill requires the City to inventory cultural, historic, and natural resources of the Stevens Road Tract as a necessary component of potential planning amendments to the City's Comprehensive Plan for master planning of the Stevens Road Tract. The City of Bend reserves the right to: 1) modify, revise or withdraw this request for proposal, 2) reject any or all proposal not in compliance with public solicitation procedures and requirements, 3) select consultant on the basis of the proposals or to conduct interviews with the highest qualified proposers after scoring, 4) seek clarifications of any or all proposals, and 5) to select the proposal which appears to be in the best interest of the City. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
