Description | Project location is the entire length of Ballston Street in the Borough of Bloomingdale, County of Passaic, State of New Jersey. The project limits are between the intersections of Union and Van Dam Avenues. The project length is approximately 1,120 linear feet (0.212 miles). The scope of work includes: the installation of a new water main, including new water services and fire hydrants; the installation of new sanitary sewer mains, including new manholes and laterals; construction of concrete curbs; construction of concrete sidewalks and driveway aprons; construction of new sidewalk ramps for disable persons; storm drainage improvements; traffic signs; and, asphalt road resurfacing. The main items of construction and approximate quantities include, but are not necessarily limited to: 1,200 linear feet of eight (8") inch diameter ductile iron water main pipe; 25 water services; two (2) fire hydrant assemblies; 1,200 linear feet of twelve (12") diameter PVC sanitary sewer pipe; four (4) precast concrete manholes including castings; 25 four (4") inch sanitary sewer laterals; 2,600 linear feet of Portland cement concrete curb; 200 square yards of Portland cement concrete sidewalks, four (4") inch thick; 60 square yards of Portland cement concrete reinforced driveway aprons, six (6") inch thick; four (4) sidewalk ramps for disabled persons; 5,000 square yards of asphalt milling; 750 tons of hot mixed asphalt surface course, two (2") inches thick, mix 9.5 M64; installation of eight (8) precast storm inlets, including new castings; and, reconstruction of three (3) storm inlets, including replacement castings. |
