Schatz Brownfield Opportunity Area (BOA) Nomination Study

Dutchess County intends to complete a Brownfield Opportunity Area (BOA) Nomination study to develop an adaptive reuse plan and feasibility for reuse and redevelopment of the lot and buildings of the former Schatz Federal Bearings Company, a 20 acre site located on Fairview Avenue in the Town and City of Poughkeepsie. The Schatz site consists of three adjacent parcels: One parcel (60 Fairview Avenue / tax map ID number 134689-6162-09-227572-0000) is approximately 6.5 acres and is located on Fairview Avenue in the Town of Poughkeepsie with nearest cross-street, Parker/Violet Avenue. The second parcel (68-70 Fairview Avenue / tax map ID number 134689-6162-09-189635-0000) lies to the north of 60 Fairview Avenue, also in the Town of Poughkeepsie, and is approximately 11 acres. The third parcel (Fairview Avenue tax map ID number 131300- 6162-46-207545-00000) lies to the south of 60 Fairview Avenue in the City of Poughkeepsie and is approximately 2 acres.
