Description | As of April 26, 2023, project is currently bidding for a contractor. This project is currently in the City of Newburyport Capital Improvement Plan fiscal year 2023-2027. Some funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for fiscal year 2024 and the rest is allotted towards fiscal year 2026. The closed solicitation has been included below for reference. Improvements will be done in phases which include: Phase one- Includes but is not limited to: pressure washing the entire tennis and basketball court areas, removing existing failed crack repair system, installing Riteway Crack Repair System over all failed crack repair system that has been removed and all new structural cracks, filling hairline cracks with latex crack fillers and blending, painting the entire court surface with one coat of California Products black acrylic resurfacer (or approved alternate), painting the entire court surface using two coat California Products Deco Turf Ultra Performance full acrylic playing surface (or approved alternate), painting one set of tennis lines and two sets of pickleball lines with California Products (or approved alternate) textured white line paint per USTA standards, painting two sets of basketball lines with California Products (or approved alternate) textured white line paint, furnishing and installing 80’ Har Tru Royale (or approved alternate) open mesh black 9’ windscreens in two pieces on river side of fence, furnishing and installing 8’x16’ green Bakko Economy Flat Series (or approved alternate) backboard to short side of fence, and any potential add alternates as listed. All work incidental thereto shall be in accordance with the project manual, design plans and specifications and attached hereto, which are incorporated herein by reference. Additionally, the contactor must adhere to all other requirements of this bid package and written specifications, inclusive. Next phases will include: Walkway - Resurfacing walkway at Merrimac St entry walkway down to waterfront, a high priority need for accessibility. Playground equipment - Replacement of aging playground structures. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available. |
