Description | Renovation of a military facility in Joint Base Lewis McChord, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility. Provide all supervision, labor, equipment, and materials to Abate and Replace Carpet, Room 205, Building J00852, McChord Field, Joint Base Lew is-McChord, WA in accordance with the statement of work, specifications & drawings, and contract documents. Set Aside Status: This procurement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside The NAICS code for this project is 238330 with a size standard of $16.5 million. Project Magnitude: The magnitude of this project is less than $25,000. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation and not an Invitation for Bid. As a result, there w ill not be a public bid opening Project Identification 1.1.1. Project Title: Abate and Replace Carpet, Room 205, Building J00852, McChord Field, Joint Base Lewis-McChord 1.1.2. IJO Number: MJM210041J 1.1.3. Project Package Number: PS 2229 1.2. Description of Work 1.2.1. The contractor shall supply all supervision, labor, equipment, and materials to perform all work in strict accordance with the contract, this statement of work, and identified drawings to Remove carpet from room 205 and Remove floor tiles and abate mastic. Replace the floor with new similar tile and new similar carpet]. Area Description 1.3.1. Location 1.3.1.1. Building J00852, Room 205 1.3.2. Known Existing Site Condition: It is a working Office environment. 1.3.3. Working office with the old carpet Base Item CLIN 0001: Remove Carpet and Tiles. 1.4.1.1. Contractor shall relocate all government owned items, (I.E. (Furniture, Professional Items, Refrigerators, Microwaves, etc.) From the room 205 which is shown in attachment 1, except for personal. All items shall be stored on-site and protected from damage and returned to original placement once complete. The government office equipment will be stored in an intermediate floor on level C shown in Attachment 2 1.4.1.2. Contractor shall provide asbestos abatement and disposal in the floor of building J00852, cove base, mastic adhesives and transition strips. 1.4.1.3. All asbestos containing materials abatements shall be removed and in accordance with WISHA Interim Interpretive Memorandum Washington Department of Labor and Industries #97-7-G for Mechanical Removal of Asbestos-Containing Floor Tile. Once asbestos abatement has been completed, the area shall be encapsulated. All demolished materials shall be treated as if they contain asbestos. Note 1: The asbestos abatement shall be in accordance with OSHA/Washington State DOSH requirements for non-mechanical or manual removal of Class II VAT & mastic. i.e. Critical barriers are required over all openings; negative air machines are not required. Area shall be ventilated to remove nocuous odors. Note 2: Contractor is responsible for ventilation systems for this task order and shall ensure all critical equipment are maintained at required operating temperatures. The systems are to be placed back into normal operation once completed. All system shutdowns shall be coordinated with building manager prior. Note 3: The whole room 205 shall be inspected by the government prior to returning office equipment. Occupants shall be allowed 5 days before relocation of personal items. Any questions concerns, verification or clarification of information of the documents included in the solicitation package shall be emailed to the Contract Specialist no later than 4:00 PM, local time on April 27, 2022. Include in the subject line of the email the Government's solicitation number; failure to do so will lessen the Government's ability to ensure all questions are considered during the solicitation process |
