Description | Project Consist of stabilizing approximately 236 LNFT of shoreline using a pine bow fascine and willow stabilization with coir wrapped soil to include willow cuttings with a soil layer wrapped with biodegradable erosion control fabric. The project generally includes stabilizing the bank along the shoreline using a pine bow fascine & willow stabilization with coir wrapped soil which will consist of willow cuttings with a soil layer wrapped with biodegradable erosion control fabric (ECM). Above the fascine layers the soil will be sloped back at 1.5H:1V to meet existing grade. The slope area will be seeded and covered with additional biodegradable ECM. Timbered steps will also be constructed to allow safe public access down to the water. All labor and materials and other incidentals shall be provided by the contractor. All Bidders should satisfy themselves as to the construction conditions by personal examination of the site described in this document. Bidders are encouraged to make any - investigations necessary to assess the nature of the construction and the difficulties to be encountered, see General Conditions. Any defective work or nonconforming materials or equipment that may be discovered at any time prior to the expiration of the warranty period, shall be removed and replaced with work or materials conforming to the provisions of the Contract Documents, see General Conditions, Article 12. Failure on the part of the Project Representative to condemn or reject bad or inferior work, or to note nonconforming materials or equipment on the Contractors submittals, shall not be construed to imply acceptance of such work. The Owner shall reserve and retain all its rights and remedies at law against the Contractor and its Surety for correction of any and all latent defects discovered after the guarantee period (MCA 27-2-208). Only the Project Representative will have the authority to reject work which does not conform to the Contract Documents. Engineers Project Cost Estimate: Approximately $34K The Technical Specifications as found in Montana Public Works Standard Specifications (MPWSS), Seventh Edition, April 2021 Addendum; are hereby incorporated by reference and made a part of this Contract: Incorporation of Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Technical Specifications and Modifications to MPW Technical Specifications. This work also includes conserving, placing, and finishing topsoil placement at designated areas on the project drawings or as directed by the Engineer. |
