Description | The download cost for this project is $20. or for assistance in free membership registration, downloading, and working with this digital information. All bidders will submit, separate from the sealed bid, a resume of similar projects performed, enumerated, as to location, type of work, approximate completion date, and project engineering firms. Additionally, all bidders will submit a list of equipment owned by, or available to them, for the efficient pursuance of the project. Base bid work is located on Converse Ln from W Sunnybrook Rd to the north terminus, Donald Ct from Shoreline to south terminus, North Knoll wood from W Oakwood Ave to the south terminus, and Sunshine Ln from W Sunnybrook Rd to the north terminus in Grant Township, Lake County, IL. The work for which proposals are requested will generally consist of, but shall not be limited to, the following: Pavement removal by cold milling; HMA paving; driveway pavement removal and replacement; barrier curb installation, concrete curb removal and replacement; HMA surface course, and other associated improvements. The successful bidder is required to pay the general prevailing wage for work under this Contract as ascertained by the Illinois Department of Labour, and shall submit certified payroll records, in compliance with the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130) and the requirements of the Bidding Documents. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, Bank Cashier's Check, or Certified Check in the amount of TEN (10) percent of the total bid amount, made payable to the Grant Township Highway Department shall accompany the bid. The Grant Township Highway Department reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, to award all or part of a contract, and to make such awards as are in the best interests of the Township. Factors other than price which will be considered in awarding or rejecting bids shall include the results of reference contacts, and the quality of the bidder's performance on prior Township projects, if any, in the judgment of the Township Board and Township staff. All proposals submitted shall be valid for a period of 60 days. Construction work is anticipated to start September 26, 2022, with substantial completion by November 4, 2022, and a final completion date of November 18, 2022. FINAL COMPLETION IS DEFINED AS RESTORATION AND PUNCH LIST ITEMS ADDRESSED. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES WILL START NOVEMBER 19, 2022. PER IDOT SPECIFICATION 108.09, LIQUIDATED DAMAGES WILL BE CHARGED FOR EVERYDAY PAST FINAL COMPLETION DATE. |
