Description | (Replacement of Franklin Street Pump Station; Rehabilitation of Pump Stations 1 and, 4; and Re-sealing of Digester Tops at the Valley Creek WWTP) The OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities, or reject any or all Bids, and to award the Contract to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder. Each BIDDER is required to file with his or her Bid either a Cashiers Check drawn on an Alabama bank or a Bid Bond executed by a surety company duly authorized and qualified to make such bonds in the State of Alabama, payable to the WATER WORKS AND SEWER BOARD OF THE CITY OF SELMA for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance as required in the Bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract. All BIDDERS bidding in amounts exceeding $50,000 must be licensed under the Provision of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, and must be licensed for the type of work on which the Proposal is submitted. BIDDERS must show evidence of license before bidding or Bid will not be received or considered; the BIDDER shall show such evidence by clearly displaying his or her current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered. No BIDDER may withdraw his or her Bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Every request for such interpretation should be in writing addressed to HSA ENGINEERS, INC. and sent via email to Meredith.hsaeng@gmail.com a minimum of 48 hours prior to the Bid Opening. |
