UST Removal and Site Remediation

The work includes removal and proper disposal of two underground storage tanks (USTs), associated piping, and a cistern. The work also includes removal of soil that is impacted with volatile and semi volatile organic compounds (VOCs and SVOCs). The impacted soil will be excavated, transported, and disposed at a licensed Type II disposal facility. Following excavation, the excavation will be backfilled with MDOT Class II Sand. Site restoration will consist of placement of topsoil, seed, and mulch. Additionally, an adjoining concrete sidewalk will be replaced with Portland cement concrete over an aggregate base.
